Well today I received my nutritional plan and exercise regime and while initially some of the changes required seemed too daunting, I soon realised that for maximum improvement I have to put in maximum effort. It is such a complete lifestyle change with a strict regime of exercise and eating every three hours to really power up my metabolism (it has needed a tune up for some time).
Eating six times a day will be the biggest challenge for me. In my food diary most days I didn’t eat my first meal until after 12. With the Body for Life program you have to eat your third meal at noon! I can see that working at home in the afternoons will definitely be an advantage as I could see it would be quite tricky to organise these six meals at the workplace. With the food conveniently there I should have no problem sticking to the planned times, although I may need to ensure my pocket pc does the remembering to eat for me!
One of the things that surprised me about it was the amount of almonds I am required to eat! A handful at every meal it seems. The supplements are what I will be organizing tomorrow as the food is just as important, maybe more so than the exercise regime. I can totally see that after three months of this complete lifestyle change it is easy to stay in the habit of good eating and healthy living. I am pumped and can’t wait to start; Monday will hopefully be the big day assuming all goes well buying supplements and joining the gym.
