Something that’s always driven me nuts about buying prebuilt PCs is the amount of crap that comes preinstalled. You know the stuff I’m talking about, it’s the Musicmatch Jukebox, Sonic Update Manager, or QuickBooks Trial; all the apps that come installed that you didn’t ask for and serve no purpose aside from slowing down your system.
Thankfully yorkspace.com have created a cool little app called “PC De-Crapifier” (I love the name) that removes common unwanted applications quickly and easily. Currently it doesn’t kill all the annoying apps, but it’s getting updated frequently so before to long it’s sure to be very useful. So if you’re in the market for a new PC and want to give it a clean start it might pay to give the PC De-Crapifier a shot.
