Halo movie director set

Well after months of rumors and delays a director has been named for the movie adaptation of Halo. The director, South Africa’s Neill Blomkamp, is relatively unknown but has proven himself worthy of task with his 2005 short film “Alive in Joburg“. Microsoft are calling him “one of the most innovative and original artists currently working in short films and commercial advertising”. I’m sure Mr Blomkamp is over the moon at chance to work on Halo and will be eager to step up to feature films.

In another slightly less revolutionary note, Halo is to be shot in Wellington, New Zealand to take full advantage of the executive producers (Peter Jackson) cutting edge facilities. I can’t wait for the casting calls, I wanna get my hands on a plasma rifle!
