With the “Windows Live Messenger” features of the May 7th dashboard update getting all the attention, another feature of the new update seems to be widely over looking; DivX and XviD support. While I can’t say I use these formats myself I do know they are widely used by video pirates gamers who like to store their video content on PC hard drives rather than discs.
So the days of transcoding are soon to be over and everyone will be able to enjoy their videos with ease. Now to find a good DVD ripping app… that’s legal right?
