Am I the only one in the world who thinks Apple needs to start thinking more outside the box. I mean really iPod Nano is the same product, just about exactly the same, in a different skin. In fact when you really look at the entire apple iPod line little has really change for quite some time. Sure the Nano’s new skin is small and sexy, but really it was just the natural evolution of the mini line. Where is some bluetooth support? Or hey, how about a radio!
Thats right, I’d go so far to say that Apple have consistently failed to innovate in their iPod line for years. Look at the new Motorola ROKR E1 iTunes phone. Could it be more average? I mean what’s really the killer feature of it? It plays music! Wow fancy that, a phone that plays music, never seen that before. Don’t even get me started on the “new” version of iTunes. Look everyone we changed almost nothing and added features that should have been implemented ages ago.
I know it looks like this is quickly becoming a rant, but the way I look at it, good looks will only go so far. Sooner or later consumers are going to get looks plus features from another competitor and Apple will end up going backward. Sometimes I wish I could be all powerful for a day and just shake some companies!
