Well I’ve been struggling with google for months now, you see it just doesn’t want to play the “put efrisson.com on the google index for New Zealand game”. I think I may have made a step in the right direction today by setting up www.efrisson.co.nz as an addon domain rather than just a parked domain that points to efrisson.com. From what I can tell of how google decides on what is a New Zealand site it bases it on two things:
- If your webserver is based in New Zealand then you’re in with a grin
- If you have a .co.nz domain you’ve also got a shoe in.
So fingers crossed that the new kiwi geek stuff store will get the google ball rolling so all the kiwis of this fine country will actually be made aware of all our geek stuff.
Anyway in other news my new blog design is well on its way, just some tweaks to the interface and we are good to go. So all going well (which it will!) the all new geek blog will roll out this weekend 😄 My main hurdle at this point is getting all your comments from this blog to carry across to the new one, so wish me luck.
