Woohoo daylight savings at last, so now when I get up in the wee hours of the morning there will actually be some of that light stuff to lead me into my day. The other benefit is I’ll get to see my girlfriend before I start work each day, which naturally means more positive day like today.
A woke to my Girlfriends beautiful face smiling down on me from our bedside. She had been up for about an hour or so having breakfast with her mother and sister and were about to leave for town. The funny thing was it was 8am but they all thought it was 9am because none of them had remembered to turn there watches back.
Anyway after an hour of making fun of them, they headed into town for some shopping and what not. So while the girls were in town I took the free time to get some work out of the way and organise the coming week. After a few hours of this I decided to make the most of my Sunday and proceeded to play Halo on my xbox.
I don’t know what it is about Halo that keeps me coming back for more, but boy do I love it. Its especially good playing co-op with my kid brother, and the story is so gripping to me, I could go so far to say that I’m actually looking forward to Halo 2 more than Half-Life 2, which is a huge call for me.
Unfortunately for me just about the entire gaming industry is running in slow motion. Valve seem to be getting most of the flack for Half Life 2 but they’re not the only ones taking their time. Personally I’m very hopeful this will lead to better story based games, ideally with a co-op options So I can play with my little bro… time will tell.
