Scones, Jaja, and Cooking

Each day at work the office staff have tea and scones for morning tea. The scones are the most horrendously large collection of flower, milk and eggs I have ever seen in my life. Frankly I’m amazed that the other staff manage to stuff the whole thing into their belly, I can only ever get half down and even that is really pushing it. The sad thing is I think I have a bigger tummy than most of the other staff, what the hell is that about?

Today I heard about there being three more Star Wars movies in the works. Whats sad about this is, I think they did a generally crap job of making the new ones, but somehow I know that they will manage to suck me in and Ill just end up watching them with the hope that someone will kill Jaja in a violent dismemberment that can only come from a star destroyer landing on him… or even better some kind o Jedi mind trick that removes his brain (if he does in fact have one) via his rectum. What I think is most amusing about Jaja is he was designed to be the most lovable character of all time yet he somehow manages to cause me more rage than anything that came before him in cinematic history including Lassie… ok maybe not Lassie… stupid dog… stupid Jaja… mutter, grumble, gripe and moan.

Anyway enough of my complaining and on to cooler things aka cooking classes. Tonights class is on Indian cooking and looks to be a good one. Whats good about the classes so far is its not just your standard food from each country. What I mean is when we did Italian cooking we didn’t make pasta we made an old school traditional Italian meal (not that I can remember its name) and this week looks to be no different. Being Indian cooking I would I have thought we would make something like butter chicken or korma, but no sir, its some strange thing I have never heard of (and also can’t remember the name of). So I’m hoping just because I haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it taste like crap and no one ever eats it…time will tell.
