Today/yesterday Windows Vista took yet another step closer to its final version with the launch of “Release Candidate 1“. I downloaded the new build yesterday and I’ve been having a good play around with it most of last night. Of particular interest to myself and other Xbox gamers (of the 360 variety), Vista’s Media Center functions are now fully operational in RC1. Having used Media Center 2005 Edition’for a little under a year, so far I’ve’noticed improvements in performance (both speed and reliability) as well as a significant increase in ease of use.
Tonight I’m going to work on a review/preview, including some screenshots (and perhaps some video if I can sort the gear in time)‘of Vistas media centre in action. If you have anything in particular you’d like to see/know (with media centre or otherwise) sing out and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
