XBLA is arguably the coolest feature of the Xbox 360, but unfortunately it’s been the realm of Live enabled players only, which isn’t an ideal situation. Enter XBLA unplugged volume 1, the first set of XBLA games available on a disk. The disk will retail for the bargain price of $49.95NZD and comes complete with Geometry Wars Retro Evolved, Wik: Fable of Souls, Outpost Kaloki X, Bejeweled 2 Deluxe, Hardwood Backgammon, Texas Hold ‘em, a Free 1 month Xbox Live Gold subscription, and 3 XBLA demos.
It’s great to see Microsoft supporting its offline players, particularly here in NZ what with the current state of NZ broadband and all. It’s nice to know there are other options available, if only other console makers cough Sony cough were so pro user choice.
