Xlan - Competition Results

Nothing adds to a gaming experience like competition and of course prizes; Xlan delivered on both. Of particular interest were the WCG finals of PGR3 which delivered one hell of a prize, a trip to Monza, Italy. The competition was fierce and races were very close. Here’s how it went down:

Table Tennis to my surprise featured an almost exclusive geekpulp line up (amazing given peabot and myself hadn’t played it until saturday morning) with me and peabot going head to head in the semis. Unfortunately peabot got the better of me so it was up to him to destroy the Wugga man in the finals; if only that was the way it went.

No prizes for guessing who won DOA4 but still you’ve got to take you hat off to all that entered, it’s not an easy game to master and it’s a bit of a tall order taking on the Australasian champ.

The big upset of the day came from Fight Night Round 3 with a complete unknown (Fizzle) player taking down the grizzled ancient well establish Wugga in a crushing defeat. I could from see the look in Wuggas eyes that one was ego soul bruising 😉 Fizzle went on to take out the number one spot, nice work.

So all and all it was a great event, I can only hope next year more of the community attend. It really was well worth the entry fee and is a great way to expand your friends list if nothing else.
