[[Nintendo Wii]]
No doubt most of you have heard Nintendo have killed the name of announced the official name of the Nintendo Revolution (which was the working code name for their next console). I can’t say Wii (pronounced “We”) is the worst possible name for a console, but it seems to me it’s the worst name of any console to date. Despite this incredibly poor naming I think it’s important to remain positive.
You know how Nintendo like to name games with the name of the console in the title (Mario Kart DS for example)? Well just be thankful that Microsoft now have Perfect Dark in their camp; how stupid you’d feel ordering “Perfect Dark: Wii” from your local game store? Of course I’m sure there’ll be other names just as bad, if you add Wii to the end of more or less anything it sounds like a PR nightmare. I don’t think you’ll see to many game companies keen on titles such as “Ninja: Wii” or “Barbie house party: Wii”.
Anyway enough of taking the Wii out of Nintendo, good luck to them.
