NZ Google maps… kind of

I’m a big fan of all the things going on in the online mapping world. With products like Microsoft’s “Virtual Earth” and Googles “Google Earth” being the industry leaders (IMO anyway) it might seem unlikely that something from New Zealand anything could really compete.

Unfortunately for us Kiwis our country is to small to be a priority as far as having detailed content on the big players software solutions, so I was pleased to see an alternative has come along. Zoomin.co.nz is a great bit of web software, just type in your address and it will show you on a map. Unfortunately its not as feature rich as its larger competitors but it is early days yet and really when it comes to mapping, content is king.
