The one thing that is absolutely critical to getting me to stick with a software product is integration. If I can use it with every other bit of software out there or it works with something else as part of a complete package I’m hooked. For this reason I’ve fallen completely in love with Windows Live and the best part is its only just begun. Right now I’ve started using windows live simply as my homepage for all the web feeds (rss) which I subscribe to, using a few gadgets like the mail gadget for hotmail (soon to be Windows Live Mail) and the “Xbox Live Gamer Card Gadget“. Soon the integration will go even further, just look at ideas.live.com for the things that are in the works. Its a very exciting time for web services, nothing like a good software company war (Google vs Microsoft) to make cool stuff come fast and furious.
