After seeing the Nintendo Revolution’s controller I’ve got to admit I thought “what kind crappy EyeToy BS is this?”, but then I’m not really their target market so I guess I’m meant to hate it. While I’d like to think that everything I say really matters, in reality I know that if Nintendo game developers don’t get excited about a new hardware product, consumers are the least of Nintendo’s problems.
To that end it’s very interesting to see the responses to the Revolution controller from the gaming media as well as Michel Ancel, Lorne Lanning and people from Radical Entertainment, EA, Epic Games, Shiny Entertainment, Tommy Tallarico Studios and Sun Microsystems. Based on their generally positive feed back things are looking surprisingly good for what I would think is a gimmicky BS design.
