I’m the sort of geek who likes to tinker/play around with different technologies so I have an understanding of as much as I can rather than focusing on any particular thing. Knoppix is great for people like me because it allows me to play around with Linux, get to know how to use it, play with different apps etc, without having to format my hard drive or screw anything up.
Now given people like myself and new Linux users often need some good documentation to get through a day on Linux its good to see someone has made “Knowing Knoppix: The first guide to Knoppix for the complete beginner”. The best thing about this guide is how basic it is, allowing the newest of users to get their hands dirty, even better still it’s free! So I suggest if you like the idea of having a play with Linux you get yourself a copy of Knoppix and Knowing Knoppix.
