Spam has been a real problem for me over the last few weeks. I’ve been inundated with false blog post linking to all kinds of crap, and boy does that piss me off. I was reading over at webfroot today that they are also suffering from spam issues on their site. Thankfully Glutnix (from webfroot) has pointed out a couple of solutions and they couldn’t have been easier. Both solutions, Kitten’s Spaminator and Spam Stopgap Extreme seem to be working very well and were both installed by simply copying the files to the WP-content/plugins folder and activate them via the wp admin interface. Of course they have only been installed for about 10 mins so it means next to nothing, but I’m feeling confident.
