Is it just me or has the answer to high oil prices been staring us in the face for years? Here’s a brainwave STOP USING OIL! If as a society we started using alternatives wouldn’t we all be better off? People keep saying “it costs a lot to build the infrastructure” blah blah blah, but that’s just a whole lot of BS really. Let’s face it at the end of the day oil is going to run out, and while we use it we pollute the world and have the global economy held hostage by countries that produce it. So why hasn’t some large company (GEEK points to the tech industry), that has nothing lose and get an alternative on the market? It’s not like we are short on alternatives either, from what I’ve seen there’s a range of options out there, like Biodiesel, and of course Fuel Cells, someone with money just needs to pick one and get on with it. The way I see it, whoever manages to get an alternative going, will be very wealthy and free the world from a dependency on a non-renewable, polluting product that has the world by the privates.
