Wow what a great day, and it all started with a nice morning in bed. I woke up about 8am in my nice, warm, comfortable bed and after a quick talk with my girlfriend we decided to sit in bed and read for a while. Not being much of a book reader I read the last two months issues of PC-World while my girlfriend (who reads at super high speed) started reading a novel.
After having finishing my magazines I jumped on the internet to download some software I had read about and just had a general muck about on my computer, which is always good fun. By this time its about 1pm and my little lady comes in with tears in her eyes because the book she was read (yes she finished it already) was so good; I love seeing her have a happy cry, it always makes me feel great!
Anyway realising we have achieved next to nothing all day and feeling some time pressure to get to the outdoor production of William Shakespeares Comedy of Errors by 3pm, I jump in the shower before cooking “breakfast” of French toast. By now its 2:30pm and we have managed to get so distracted in conversation that we are now in a mad rush to get there before the start of the play. Of course no out door play would be complete with out wine and cheese so we had to make a mad dash for the super market before zooming to the play which we somehow managed to make it to with 5 minutes to spare, well done us.
As I expected for the first ten minutes of the play I had no idea what was going as it usually takes me a little time to get into the whole Shakespearean thing. Luckily enough after a short time I was right into the play having a great time out doors on a beautiful sunny day in Palmerston North. One our way back to the car I thought to myself what day in the sun would be complete without ice-cream? So we walk to a near by ice-cream store and proceeded to walk around the gardens of the park stuffing our faces.
The only down side to the day is the idea of having to get up early tomorrow morning…oh joy.
